22 Charming Cat Memes for When You Want Some Feline Flirtation

Posted by Laurent Shinar

You know, since the advent of dating apps, and the outlawing of flirting in public spaces, it has been hard to come by a good flirting session that gets the heart pumping and the mind moving. Once upon a time you could lock eyes with someone across a room, grab a cup of coffee and flirt away for a few hours, boosting each other's confidence and egos as you do. Setting you both up for a rather wonderful day of feeling a bit full of yourself. But seeing as the chances of that are running slim to none nowadays, we need to get our flirtatious fill somewhere else.

And where better than with our feline fam. The fluffy creatures who have been, mostly, showing us love for centuries. And that is why we put together this list of charming cat memes for when you want some feline flirtation all up in your life, or any flirtation for that matter

The CDS deploys a kitten delivery to a nerdy family who wants to name the furball after a Star Wars

Posted by Ayala Sorotsky

The Cat Distribution System truly knows its audience. When it delivered a tiny furball to a household full of Star Wars fans, the Force was strong - and so was the urge to pick the perfect name. Around our office, we've also got cat pawrents who proudly named their cats after beloved nerdy icons:

  1. "Mine's named Gandalf, because he's old, wise, has a fabulous beard, and yells dramatically at closed doors. Every time he blocks the hallway, I half expect him to shout 'You shall not pass!' at the dog."
  2. "My tabby girl is called Ezio, from Assassin's Creed. She's an absolute stealth queen - jumps from furniture like a trained assassin and gives off major rooftop parkour energy. The only thing she's ever 'assassinated' is my socks."
  3. "We have a Tortie named Ripley, after Ripley from Alien, obviously. Fierce, fearless feline, and constantly picking fights with things bigger than her. The vet says she's small for her age - I say she's just compact chaos."
  4. "My cat? Garrus Vakarian, the best companion from Mass Effect. Because he's loyal, broody, and has a crooked little nose. Also, I like to pretend we calibrate things together when I'm working from home. Best space boyfriend. I mean - cat. Best space cat."

'Nobody else wanted her': Born in the shelter, 'Luna' the beautiful black cat waited 7 years to find

Posted by Blake Seidel

Good meowrning, feline fam. Can you imagine living your whole life in an animal shelter? It must be pawsitively terrible. Her meowther gave birth to her and her siblings while she was in the shelter, and ever since then, she's been waiting to be adopted by her furrever hooman. Spending most of her day in a cage, she didn't know anything except rescue life and the few times they let her out to play. That is, until 7 years later, when she and her hooman finally met.

She finally got adopted by the kind man in this post, and now they go everywhere together! She climbs on his shoulders and struts her stuff while he walks around and does his hooman things. It's a clear case of true love, and we're here for it. For all of you out there who are considering getting a new cat, please give the long-time residents a chance. They've been waiting just for you!

‘This is where it gets weird’: Cat parents realize their black cat is playing with someone that isn'

Posted by Blake Seidel

Do you believe in aliens or spirits, feline fam? We're pretty pawsitive that aliens exist, but we're not so sure about ghosts. And yet, there are stories like the one below, where we can't help but wonder if there are things all around us that are there, but we just can't sense them.

You know when your cat goes off and stares into space for a while, looking at something that isn't there? In those meowments, we might be convinced that ghosts and spirits exist. And if they do exist, it would 100% make sense that cats could see them.

While watching their black cat have their nightly zoomies, these cat pawrents started to notice something… strange. Their cat started playing with someone who wasn't there, and it was exactly the same way their kitten, who crossed over the rainbow bridge, used to play. The cat and kitten never met in real life, and yet they are convinced that the two met on this evening. What do you think?

'I wasn't even a cat person': 7 years ago a woman's life changed furrever when a fluffy gray feline

Posted by Blake Seidel

It only takes one cat to convert someone into being a cat purrson. Do you remember which kitty converted you into the feline fanatic you are today, fam? We do. It was our childhood cat, 'Meow'. Yes, we named her Meow, but we were also 2-years-old, so cut us some slack. She was a tortoiseshell who was literally the sweetest cat in the whole world. She would headbutt us for hours, requesting pets, and we loved to love her. She was the purrfect cat.

We were introduced to our soul cat at an early age, but not everyone is so lucky. Some people awaken their feline-loving side much later in life, but once they do, they're cat-lovers fur life. The woman in this post even admitted she 'wasn't even a cat person', until she went one day and a fluffy gray feline hugged her and refused to let go. 7 years later, they're living happily ever after - and if that isn't purrfect, we don't know what is.

Newly-adopted cat escapes his owners and adopts a different human, he fairly offers to buy the cat f

Posted by Mariel Ruvinsky

We have said it a million times before, and we will say it again - cats adopt their humans, not the other way around. Time and time again, this has been proven. Cats showing up out of nowhere and adopting a human, even humans who "hate cats" or "never wanted cats". Cats jumping in front of cars and demanding to be adopted right there, in the middle of the road, leaving their humans of choice no choice at all.

And today, a cat escaping the humans who adopted him a couple weeks ago because they simply were not the right humans. He escaped and made his way to the right human - to his chosen human. Of course, he got adopted right away, because that is the only way that things can go in that situation. And for the family who gave him up, who didn't look for him, who allowed him to be alone, fending for himself, for days or weeks as he looked for the right human… it is entirely their loss.

29-year-old partner of 8 years suddenly goes vegan, trashes non-vegans online, his boyfriend finds o

Posted by Mariel Ruvinsky

Being vegan is great for some people. We acknowledge that. We respect that. Going vegan for cats… is not an option. Cats eat meat. That is what they eat in the wild and what they are supposed to eat at home. And sure, some house cats have an affinity for some strange foods. Like cats who like eating bread or cats who like eating cucumbers. There is always the exception. But even for those cats, bread and cucumbers do not replace meat, just add to them.

So, on the one hand, we don't care that this man went vegan. We even don't care that he trashed non-vegans online. People do all kinds of things for attention. What we do care about is the secrecy, the changes in behavior with his partner of eight years, the implication that suddenly their values are not compatible, when, in reality, it was him who changed. And, of course, the thought that this man might consider feeding vegan things to the cats.

Cat lovers and mothers alike: How are you doing today?! Is your frown in need of something to flip it upside down? Does cat motherhood have you stressed out beyond comprehension? If it does, you are not alone. The last thing I want you to think is that the cat mom life is easy—it's just a bit quieter than the dog mom life (because our fabulous felines don't bark).

"I know I can’t save them all, but I saved one": After a feral kitten appeared by the dumpsters, thi

Posted by Laurent Shinar

Cat rescues are a seriously complicated business. First you have the cat itself, which depending on how feral it is, might not even want to be rescued, especially not by hoomans. If you can overcome that hurdle without too many scratches on your arms and face, then comes phase two, the vet. By which we really mean the vet bills, which are astronomical when a poor catto has been camping out in the cold for a prolonged period. If your bank account can survive that hurdle, then you come to a major one. What to do with the now clean kitty?

Shelters will likely be full or put them on a bad list. If you saved the cat, you likely have cat children of your own at home who might not take too kindly to a feral visitor joining their spoiled ranks. It is a conundrum almost unlike any other. But when all is said and done, you have to make a move. And the heroic couple who decided to bring the feral kitten they found into their home with two spoiled cat children sure had big stones about them to do so.

'He's like having a big goofy dog in the house': 3-month-old Lion cub with rare disorder that cannot

Posted by Mariel Ruvinsky

Not all lions are born the same. Of course, they are all equally beautiful and meowgestic and purrfect, but… some are born different than others, and that means that those lions need us to step in and help. We would want every lion that is rescued to be released back into the wild - where they should be, but things don't always work out like that. Sometimes, lions are born with medical conditions that make releasing them into the wild an impossibility. These lions need to be given a second chance at life in a different way. These lions need humans to raise them and help them live their best lives.

This is unfortunately what happened to Lucious. He was born with a very rare condition that made releasing him into the wild impossible, but thankfully, he found himself in the best hands very early on. The woman who rescued him didn't do just that. She also adopted him, taking him into her home, raising him, loving him, and giving him the best chance at life that he could possibly have.

22 Hissterical Pictures of Cats Caught Red-Pawed in Mischief Mode

Posted by Sarah Brown

Cats may be cute, but let's not pretend they aren't tiny chaos gremlins in fur coats. If there's something on a table, shelf, or counter, a cat's only goal is to knock it off. Bonus points if it makes a loud crash. Glass of water? Gone. Your favorite plant? Splat. Expensive electronics? They're "testing gravity," obviously.

And don't even think about eating in peace. Turn your back for two seconds and that slice of pizza is mysteriously missing a corner. They'll swipe noodles right off your fork, lick the butter off your toast, and act shocked when you dare accuse them. Meanwhile, their face is literally covered in crumbs.

No snack is safe. No object too sacred. They'll steal, push, shred, and scatter, then act like you're the unreasonable one for caring. They are the masters of selective hearing and professional-level poker faces.

And yet, we love them. We let them get away with it all, because nothing beats a good cuddle from your favorite fluffy menace… right after they've stolen your sandwich and knocked your glasses off the nightstand.

Posted by Sarah Brown

Pixie, once a semi-feral spitfire, has become a total sweetheart. Thanks to the care of a very pregnant pawrent, she went from skittish and hissing to affectionate and crying at the door for hours, hoping to come inside. Over the past six to seven weeks, Pixie's been fed daily, treated for fleas, and given vet care. All while living her best outdoor life with ample shade, treats, and even a cooling pad (which she hilariously refused to use).

Now, with just five weeks until a newborn arrives, the caretaker is facing a real dilemma: should she let Pixie inside or keep her outdoors? While Pixie's transformation is heartwarming, she's still easily startled, and no one knows if she's litter trained. The spare room that could've been a temporary cat haven is now a nursery, and managing a baby and a not-fully-socialized cat seems nearly impossible.

The guilt is real. Pixie has clearly learned to trust again, but this pawrent is also preparing for a major life change. It's a tough call between opening the door and protecting her peace during a delicate time.

21 Cattastic Memes to Pass Time on Your Lunch Break

Posted by Sarah Brown

Lunch breaks at work are the ultimate cat-and-mouse game except you're the cat, and your motivation? Well, that elusive mouse vanished somewhere between your morning coffee and your desk. You show up armed with a healthy lunch you pawsitively promised yourself you'd eat, but when the time comes, your appetite pulls a Houdini-level disappearing act. That salad? Suddenly, it looks like a catastrophic punishment, and you're seriously considering surviving on office air alone.

You pace around like a curious kitty chasing a laser pointer, debating if you should sneak a quick cat nap or just stare longingly out the window, dreaming of a new life. Maybe one with fewer emails and more naps. The clock ticks louder than an angry hiss, reminding you the workday is creeping back. You half-expect a magical bowl of kibble to appear at your desk, but nope, just your inbox growing like a hungry beast.

As your break ends, you're stuck between stretching, yawning, and slinking back to your desk... or making a daring escape to the nearest sunbeam, plotting your next purrfect quit day.

Posted by Laurent Shinar

Life in the wild is tough to say the least. There are no emergency services, no safe spaces, no respite from the elements. It is just you doing your thing, hanging on for dear life. And much like it did for this family of kittens things got a whole lot more rough before they got better.

Problem was, they were feral, which if you know, you know, how hard it is to get feral cats to understand that they are safe under your care. Heck, it is hard enough to get a house cat to appreciate that most of the time you know better than them. But this heroic rescuer did not give up on her kittens for a moment, even waiting until the last possible moment for their momma to return and take them to safety herself. Not all heroes wear capes, some live in Michigan, but we do not know what they wear in Michigan…

Posted by Laurent Shinar

Cat rescues are difficult at the best of times. We have become accustomed to hearing about cats being left on the side of the road, in dumpsters, and any other kind of receptacle that might hide the shame of the shameful person who wanted to rid themselves of their fluffy poofs of joy. But in today's story things start by going from bad to worse, not for the catto, but for the rescuer, whose car broke down and had to begin a long trudge home to complete his day.

But as often happens when your story starts out so bleak, there is some hope just over the horizon, and within the blink of an eye, this roadside trudger, when from wanderer to rescuer. Stopping traffic, risking his own life, and saving the life of a sweet feline fur baby who wanted nothing more than a loving family.
