Welcome to the journal of writer Catherine Schaff-Stump. This journal chronicles my work as a writer, from musing to drafting and submissions. This journal exists mostly to keep me honest and writing.

By day I am an English teacher and the coordinator of an English Language Acquisition program at Kirkwood Community College. By night I specialize in the world you can see just out of the corner of your eye. Late at night. Or early, when you haven't had enough coffee.

Coming out in 2009 from Drollerie Press: Sister Night, Sister Moon, a novella about a love triangle between a man, a woman, and a couple of muses, appearing in the Things That Go Bump in the Night anthology

Coming out in September of 2009 from Cats Curious Press: Hulk Hercules: Professional Wrestler, the first of the MYTHtery Kids books, in which three kids find out what Hercules is currently up to.

For round 2 of agent roulette, I am working on two things:

--a book about trolls in Iowa
--a retelling of The Count of Monte Cristo with supernatural elements.
