Amazon Breakthrough Novel Contest

Are any of you thinking about entering the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Contest? It's coming up in February, and I thought some of you, who have unpublished manuscripts laying around, might do so.

I am giving it some thought. Because the odds are better than winning the lottery.

I did it last year, with my baseball novel (which is next in my queue of Books to Fix Up) and had a good time with it. Made it to the semi-final round I think, which pretty much everyone did who had a legible manuscript.

IT was fun, and I enjoyed dreaming about winning the big prize. Alas, now I have to work hard and make the book even better, and hopefully get a REAL contract with it, without the contest. :)
