Novel by October 1st?

Several people I know, am getting to know, or know of are working on cranking out a first draft of a novel by October 1st.

Guess what? Me too! But you knew that.

Anyway, I’m in, because, well, I’m doing this anyway, natch? How about you? Are you interested? Sixty days isn’t quite as insane as National Novel Writing Month, you know.

I'm working on a novel right now, and I'd hoped to be done "in autumn sometime" but October 1st seems as good a deadline as any.

Is this a club or something that you and some buddies are doing? I peeked around a bit, but didn't notice to what you're referring. Which, it's probably right in front of my nose, but, there you go lol

Actually, it's not easy to find. kazdreamer mentioned that everflame had taken up a challenge from m_stiefvater about writing a novel by October 1st, and that she was thinking about joining in.

I am already writing a novel by October 1st, so I thought we could make it a thing.

I think in the end, it's just me and everflame actually writing novels, although it was a good stimulator for kazdreamer. And redcrowkater turned out to be working on a project as well, so she's in.

Still, you're welcome to join in. It's not as scary as you think.

I'd love to, but realistically I'd sink the good ship kara, is what would happen *g*

Maybe I could amend mine to the plot outline of a novel by the 1st of Oct? Even that would be a lot, for me, as I'm not a plotter, but I'd like to do something re a novel.

I'd love to join but I'm waiting for my agent to get back from maternity leave and pick which WIP she wants me to finish first. I've chosen one myself that I'm working on until then, but she doesn't get back until September and she might want the other one more. I'll have to pass this time around.
